대전과학기술대학교(총장 이효인/이하 대전과기대) 스포츠건강관리학과는 지난 5일, 올해도 어김없이 지역사회 배려계층을 위한 사랑의 연탄 배달 봉사를 실시했다고 6일 밝혔다.  

이번 봉사는 학과 재학생 및 교수, 협약산업체인 ㈜파랑새스포츠, ㈜씨엘키즈, 서구국민체육센터, ㈜테크니스트 등의 임직원들이 함께 참여하여 지역사회 배려계층들이 따뜻한 겨울을 날 수 있도록 연탄 1,000장을 전달하며 이웃 사랑을 실천했다.

사랑의 연탄 나눔 행사는 2018년 시작되어 올해로 6회째를 맞았으며, 학생들이 다양한 경진대회에서 수상한 상금과 협약 산업체들의 후원금으로 마련되었다.

스포츠건강관리학과 박노혁 학과장은 “학생들과 산업체 임직원들이 지속적으로 봉사활동에 참여해준 덕분에 연탄 나눔 행사가 학과의 중요한 전통으로 자리 잡았다”며, “학생들이 이웃과 사회를 생각하는 참된 인재로 성장할 것으로 기대한다”고 전했다.

특히, 올해 연탄 배달 봉사는 2025년부터 새롭게 시작될 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE)와 연계된 활동으로, 지역사회 문제를 해결하고 대학, 산업체, 지자체 간의 협력을 강화하는 중요한 사례로 자리 잡았다. 

한편, 스포츠건강관리학과는 이러한 봉사 활동을 통해 RISE 체계 내에서 지역사회를 위한 지속 가능한 발전 모델을 구축하고, 지역사회와 산업체의 상생을 도모할 계획이다.

Meanwhile, the Department of Sports Health Management plans to build a sustainable development model for the community within the RISE system and promote mutual prosperity between the community and industries through these volunteer activities.
