충남 청양군(군수 김돈곤)은 지난 1974년부터 2001년까지의 지역 변화를 한 눈에 살펴 볼 수 있는 '시계열 정사영상 구축사업'을 성공적으로 마무리했다고 2일 밝혔다.

시계열 정사영상은 시간의 흐름에 따라 생산된 항공 기록물을 디지털 영상으로 재탄생시키는 작업으로, 산림청이 보유한 아날로그 항공사진 593매를 확보, 446도엽을 영상보정 작업과 충남도 합동 검증을 거쳐 사업을 마무리했다.

군은 구축된 영상을 통해 과거 토지이용 파악, 도시계획 등 행정자료로 우선 활용하면서 군민들에게 추억을 제공할 수 있는 다양한 방법을 모색할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

이번에 구축된 시계열 정사영상을 포함한 과거 청양군의 모습들을 담은 항공사진들은 충청남도 공간정보포털(cngis.chungnam.go.kr)에서 누구나 쉽게 확인할 수 있다.

군 관계자는 "이번 영상 구축사업을 통해 과거부터 지금까지의 연도별 항공사진으로 지역의 역사를 한눈에 볼 수 있게 되었다"며 "행정업무, 학술연구자료, 토지 관련 서비스 제공 등 다양한 분야에서 활용될 수 있는 편리한 공간정보를 제공할 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.
