충남 천안시가 지역 경쟁력 향상과 스마트시티 확산을 견인할 거점 조성을 위한 ‘거점형 스마트도시’ 조성사업을 본격적으로 추진한다고 26일 밝혔다. 

앞서 천안시는 지난 25일 천안타운홀에서 박상돈 천안시장 등이 참석한 가운데, 11개 컨소시엄과 거점형 스마트도시 조성사업 시행협약을 체결했다. 

컨소시엄엔 천안과학산업진흥원, 충남정보문화산업진흥원, 단국대, SK플래닛, CJ올리브네트웍스, 우아한형제들, JB주식회사, 코나아이, NHN클라우드, 아인스에스엔씨, 디케이테크인이 참여한다. 

천안시는 지난 6월 국토교통부의 ‘2024년 거점형 스마트도시 조성 공모사업’에 최종 선정됐다.

천안역세권 혁신지구를 중심으로 스마트 그린산업단지, 캠퍼스 혁신파크와 연계해 2026년까지 국비 160억 원, 지방비 160억 원, 민간투자 60억 원 등 총 380억 원 규모의 스마트도시 조성사업을 추진하게 된다.

이번 협약에 따라 천안시와 컨소시엄은 ‘포용적이고 역동적인 미래혁신 스마트 거점도시, 프리즘시티 천안’을 비전으로 기업지원 기능과 스마트한 공간구조가 결합한 어반테크 기반의 스마트 거점도시를 조성할 계획이다.

천안시와 컨소시엄은 스마트도시 서비스 ,정보관리 ,운영 인프라 구축 ,이노베이션센터 4개 분야에 어반테크 실증존, 버추얼스테이션, 인공지능(AI) 기반 자원순환 모델, 천안형GPT 등 15개 사업을 추진하게 된다.

또 내년 2월까지 실시계획을 수립해 국토교통부 승인을 받으면 착공할 계획이다.

A smart city development project worth a total of 38 billion won, including 16 billion won in national funds, 16 billion won in local funds, and 6 billion won in private investment, will be promoted by 2026, centered around the Cheonan Station Innovation District and linked to the Smart Green Industrial Complex and Campus Innovation Park.

According to this agreement, Cheonan City and the consortium plan to create a smart hub city based on urban tech that combines corporate support functions and smart spatial structures with the vision of ‘Prism City Cheonan, an inclusive and dynamic future innovation smart hub city.’

Cheonan City and the consortium will promote 15 projects in four areas: smart city services, information management, operation infrastructure construction, and innovation centers, including urban tech demonstration zones, virtual stations, AI-based resource circulation models, and Cheonan-type GPTs.

In addition, they plan to establish an implementation plan by February next year and begin construction once they receive approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.
