공주시는 행정안전부와 디지털플랫폼정부위원회가 공동 주최한 '2024년 대한민국 정부박람회'에서 인기 부스 BEST20, 인기 캐릭터 BEST5에 선정되는 영예를 안았다고 19일 밝혔다.

이번 박람회는 지난 11월 13일부터 15일까지 3일간 광주광역시 김대중컨벤션센터에서 개최됐으며 중앙부처, 지자체, 공공기관 및 관련 기업 등 총 130개 기관이 참여해 ▲편리한 서비스 ▲똑똑한 정부 ▲안전한 사회 영역으로 나누어 총 206개의 부스를 운영하며 다양한 혁신사례를 선보였다.

충남도에서 유일하게 참여한 공주시는 '편리한 서비스' 분야에서 미래전략실에서 추진한 '공주시, 드론과 함께 비상하다!'를, '똑똑한 정부' 분야에서는 경로장애인과가 추진한 '행복 이어유~ 공주시 스마트경로당!'을 소개했다.

특히 3일 동안 진행된 현장 투표 결과, 공주시의 두 가지 콘텐츠가 인기 부스 BEST20에 모두 선정됐으며, 부대행사로 진행된 캐릭터 홍보 및 퍼레이드에 공주시의 마스코트인 '고마곰과 공주'가 참여해 인기 캐릭터 BEST5에도 함께 선정되는 등 겹경사를 맞았다. 

최원철 시장은 "다양한 기관의 우수한 사례들이 전시된 박람회에서 공주시의 핵심 정책 두 가지를 소개할 수 있어 매우 뜻깊은 기회였다. 앞으로도 혁신적인 정책을 지속적으로 추진하라는 의미로 받아들이며 시민들이 실질적으로 체감할 수 있는 혁신 사례를 적극 발굴하겠다"라고 말했다.

Mayor Choi Won-cheol said, "It was a very meaningful opportunity to introduce two key policies of Gongju City at the expo where excellent cases from various organizations were displayed. I will take it as a sign that we will continue to promote innovative policies in the future and actively discover innovative cases that citizens can actually experience."
