국립공주대학교 디자인컨버전스학과 3학년 신지연 학생이 ‘제38회 충청남도 산업디자인대전’ 도내 기업지원 디자인 부문 대상을 받는 영예를 얻었다.

이 대회는 대한민국 국민은 물론 국내에 거주하는 외국인까지 참가할 수 있는 제38회 충청남도 산업디자인대전으로 도내 기업지원 응모 과제와 일반 시각·산업공예디자인 등 2개 부문으로 나누어 진행됐다.

2024년 충청남도 산업디자인대전공모전에 디자인컨버전스학과 3학년 학생들이 참가하여 대상과 특별상, 그리고 특선 등의 좋은 성과를 거두었다.

대상의 영예를 얻은 신지연 학생은 “존경하는 심사위원님들과 관계자 여러분, 함께 기뻐해 주시는 모든 분께 진심으로 감사드린다”며 “저 혼자의 노력이 아닌 이정윤 교수님의 언제나 따뜻한 조언과 꼼꼼한 지도 덕분에 가능했다. 특히 자문할 때마다 아낌없는 가르침과 피드백을 해주셔서 디자인의 방향을 확립하고 완성도 높은 작품을 만들 수 있었다”고 말했다.

신지연 학생은 수상작인 “㈜루츠랩 코스메틱 브랜드 PEARING 바디용품 패키지디자인을 통해 친환경적인 느낌과 자연, 따뜻함을 표현하고 싶었고, 각 비누 제품의 고유한 특징을 컬러와 매치해 조화롭게 표현하고자 노력했다”며 “특히 제품별 특징을 담을 수 있는 모티브를 활용한 그래픽으로 표현하기 위해 많은 시간을 투자했다”고 말했다. 

한편 국립공주대학교 디자인컨버전스학과는 AI와 더불어 급변하는 미래 산업의 확장에 따라 다양해지는 디자인 영역에 필요한 전문 인력 양성을 목표로 하고 있다.

National Kongju University Design Convergence Department 3rd year student Shin Ji-yeon was honored with the grand prize in the ‘38th Chungcheongnam-do Industrial Design Competition’ in the design category of the local enterprise support design category.

This competition is the 38th Chungcheongnam-do Industrial Design Competition, open to not only Korean citizens but also foreigners residing in Korea, and was divided into two categories: local enterprise support application tasks and general visual and industrial craft design.

In the 2024 Chungcheongnam-do Industrial Design Competition, 3rd year students from the Design Convergence Department participated and achieved great results, including the grand prize, special prize, and special selection.

Shin Ji-yeon, who received the honor of the grand prize, said, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the esteemed judges, the staff, and everyone who celebrated with us,” and added, “It was possible not by my own efforts, but thanks to Professor Lee Jeong-yoon’s always warm advice and meticulous guidance. In particular, he said, “I was able to establish the direction of the design and create a high-quality work because he gave me generous guidance and feedback whenever I consulted him.”

Student Shin Ji-yeon said, “I wanted to express an eco-friendly feeling, nature, and warmth through the award-winning work, “Roots Lab Cosmetic Brand PEARING Body Products Package Design, and I tried to harmoniously express the unique characteristics of each soap product by matching them with colors.” She added, “I invested a lot of time in expressing them with graphics that utilized motifs that could contain the characteristics of each product.”

Meanwhile, the Department of Design Convergence at Kongju National University aims to foster specialized personnel needed in the design field, which is becoming more diverse due to the expansion of rapidly changing future industries, including AI.
