더불어민주당 대전시당이 7일 ‘김건희·윤석열 국정농단 규탄 및 특검 촉구 천만인 서명운동 본부’ 발대식을 열고, 윤석열 대통령의 기자회견에 대해 강하게 비판하며 특검 촉구를 위한 천만인 서명운동에 돌입했다. 

이날 둔산동 타임월드 인근에서 개최된 발대식에서 박정현 시당위원장은  “오늘 윤 대통령의 기자회견은 차마 볼 수 없었고 들을 수 없었다”며 “대통령이 스스로 지은 죄가 있다면 벌을 받겠다고 말하길 기대했으나, 그 말은 한마디도 나오지 않았다. 이는 국민을 바보로 여기는 것”이라고 비난했다. 

이어 “김건희 특검을 통해 국정농단의 배후를 밝혀내고, 김건희 여사를 사법의 잣대에 올려 국정을 바로잡아야 한다”라며 서명운동의 필요성을 역설했다.

박범계 의원(서구을)은 “이번 특검법 발의안은 김건희 특검법이 아니라, 현직 대통령 윤석열에 대한 특검법”이라고 단정하고, “명태균에게 모든 약점을 잡힌 현직 대통령은 이 나라와 국민의 미래를 위해 이제 그만둘 때가 됐다”고 말했다. 이어 공천개입과 국가산단 선정 과정 등을 거론하며 “이 모든 희대의 국정농단 드라마의 중심에는 명태균이 자리 잡고 있다는 것을 모든 국민이 알고 있다. 그런데도 대통령은 (마음의) 문을 닫고 귀를 막았다. 이제 이러한 대통령은 대한민국과 국민의 행복과 발전을 위해 그만둘 때가 됐다”고 재차 주장했다.

조승래 의원(유성갑)은 윤 대통령이 기자회견에서 언급한 ‘부부 사이에 국정을 논할 수 있는 거 아니냐?’는 발언을 정조준했다. 조 의원은 “윤 대통령은 배우자와 국정을 논하며 권력을 공유하는 것이 집권자로서의 당연한 권리라고 생각하는 듯하다. 이는 국민주권의 원리를 명백히 위반한 것”이라며 “우리는 대통령 윤석열을 선택했지, 대통령 김건희를 선택한 것이 아니다”라고 강조했다.

이날 채택한 결의문에서는 국정논당 진상규명과 김건희특검 천만인 서명운동은 ‘무능과 부패로 점철된 최악의 정권에 대한 국민의 준엄한 심판이자, 무능 정권에 맞서는 국민 저항의 서막’이라고 선언했다. 이어 ‘명품 가방 수수, 주가 조작 등 각종 의혹과 위법 행위에 면죄부를 주고, 공권력을 배우자의 비리 방어에 사용하는 정권을 심판해야 한다’라는 의지를 다졌다.

이날 발대식에는 박정현·박범계·조승래 국회의원과 허태정 전 대전시장, 황인호 전 동구청장을 비롯 지방의원과 당원 등 100여명이 참석했다. 

한편 대전시당은 천만인 서명운동본부 발대식에 이어 7개 지역위원회별로 주요 네거리 등에서 거리 서명운동과 온라인 캠페인 등 다양한 활동을 29일까지 전개할 예정이다.
