충남 논산시의 가을 대표축제인 강경젓갈축제가 개막일부터 방문객들의 발길이 이어지면서 성황을 이루고 있다.

논산시에 따르면 17일 개막한 강경젓갈축제는 남녀노소 누구나 참여할 수 있는 체험과 전시 부스가 다양하게 마련되어 관광객들의 눈과 귀를 즐겁게 하고 있다고 전했다.

특히 강경젓갈축제에서는 논산시 논산시농특산물 홍보 전시 판매관을 통해 논산시농산물공동브랜드 ‘육군병장’과 논산의 특산물을 만나볼 수 있다.

개막일에는‘강경젓갈과 상월고구마는 찰떡궁합’비빔밥 퍼포먼스는 사람들이 줄을 서서 기다릴 정도로 큰 인기를 끌었으며, 15개 읍면동 주민자치회가 참여한‘젓갈삼합레시피 경연대회’에서는 강경젓갈과 상월고구마를 활용한 다채롭고 창의적인 요리를 선보였다.

저녁 6시에 진행된 개막식에서 나경필 강경젓갈축제추진위원회위원장 개막선언에 이어 강경젓갈을 활용한 젓갈김치담그기 퍼포먼스, 강경의 아름다운 하늘을 화려하게 수놓은 ‘드론불꽃쇼’가 2024 강경젓갈축제의 시작을 알렸다.

백성현 논산시장은 “강경젓갈과 상월고구마는 찰떡궁합이라는 말에는 과학이 숨어있다. 고구마에 있는 칼륨이라는 성분이 젓갈의 짠맛을 배출해주고, 고구마와 젓갈이 가진 풍부한 영양소가 서로 융복합되어 찰떡궁합을 자랑하는 것”이라며 “이렇듯 논산은 항상 융복합을 통해 창의적이고 새로운 행정으로 대한민국 최고가 되기 위해 노력하고 있다”고 말했다.

강경젓갈축제 대표 프로그램인 양념젓갈&고구마 퓨전요리 체험, 젓갈 김치담그기 체험, 젓갈고구마 비빔밥 체험 등은 축제 기간 4일 동안 매일 진행될 예정이며, 행사장 내 판매장에서 강경젓갈과 상월고구마를 20% 할인된 가격으로 구매할 수 있다.
