올해 운전면허 적성검사‧갱신 대상자 가운데 절반은 적성검사‧갱신을 아직 완료하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

한국도로교통공단이 2024년 운전면허 적성검사‧갱신 대상자 약 395만여 명 중 9월 말 기준 210만여 명(55%)이 완료했다고 밝혔다.

적성검사, 갱신은 최근 2년 국가건강검진을 받은 제1종 보통 면허, 69세 이하의 제2종 보통 면허 적성검사‧갱신 대상자들만 신청 가능하다. 오프라인의 경우에는 전국 27개 운전면허시험장과 가까운 경찰서를 방문하여 신청할 수 있다. 

다만, 제1종 대형‧특수 면허 소지자, 75세 이상 고령운전자, 70세 이상 제2종 보통면허 적성검사 대상자는 각기 다른 오프라인검사(신체장애 판단 신체검사 또는 인지선별검사, 교통안전교육 등)를 받아야 하므로 온라인 접수에 해당하지 않는다.
