유럽을 공무출장 중인 이장우 대전시장과 경제사절단은 헝가리 부다페스트 바로시리겟 공원을 방문해 주요 문화시설을 시찰했다. 

바로시리겟 공원 100㏊ 규모에는 유럽에서 가장 큰 문화도시 개발 프로젝트인‘리게트 부다페스트 프로젝트’가 추진 중이다. 이 사업은 시민공원에 헝가리 대표 문화예술기관을 집적화하는 것으로, 제2복합예술단지를 조성 중인 대전시가 벤치마킹할 수 있는 최적의 장소다.

이장우 대전시장은 “제2미술관과 음악전용공연장 등을 문화시설을 집적화하는 것이야말로 문화도시의 면모를 갖춰가는 것”이라며 “명품 디자인을 완료한 만큼 향후 절차를 빠르게 진행해서 시민들에게 문화 향유권을 돌려드릴 것”이라고 말했다.
