충남도 산림자원연구소가 볼거리 많은 칠갑산도립공원 탐방로 조성을 위해 특성화 사업을 추진 중이라고 3일 밝혔다.

올해는 칠갑주차장에서 칠갑광장으로 가는 옛길의 탐방환경을 보완하는 사업으로 초입부의 계단을 없애고 황토포장 및 목재데크를 설치했다. 

이를 통해 사회적 약자도 표지석까지 올라가 사진을 찍을 수 있는 환경을 마련했으며, 표지석 뒤편으로 흰진달래 및 진달래를 식재해 포토존 기능도 갖췄다.

이와 함께 돌수로 인근에 개나리 및 화살나무 등을 식재하고, 돌계단 옆에 안전난간대를 설치, 아름다운 탐방로뿐만 아니라 안전한 산행을 위한 환경을 조성했다.
