세종시가 19일 시청 세종실에서 농림업 분야 주요 기관 및 청년 농업인과 업무협약을 맺고 적극적인 시정 참여·협력을 통해 농촌지역의 지속가능한 발전에 힘을 모으기로 했다.

시에 따르면 이날 협약식에는 최민호 시장과 홍순옥 NH농협은행 세종본부장, 안종수 세종시 산림조합장, 세종시조합운영협의회 의장인 고진국 조합장을 포함한 각 지역농협 조합장, 김민석 4-H회장 등 12개 기관·단체가 참여했다.

이 협약은 시와 농림업 분야 주요 기관, 청년 농업인이 상호 인적, 물적 네트워크를 강화해 농촌마을 가꾸기, 청년 농림업인 유입과 맞춤형 정착 지원에 협력하고 농촌발전 기반을 조성하기 위해 추진됐다.

이번 협약 체결로 시·농협·산림조합·청년 농업인은 ▲경관작물 재배 활성화 ▲청년농림업인 육성 ▲세종미래마을 조성사업 지원 ▲2026 세종국제정원도시 박람회 협력 ▲전의 조경수 묘목축제 지원 등에 협력을 강화한다.

최민호 시장은 “이번 업무협약으로 우리시와 농림업 분야 기관·단체 간 소통이 더욱 활발해질 것”이며 “나아가 앞으로 교류를 더욱 확대해 고령화 등 미래농업 위기에 대비해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
