보령시는 추석 명절을 맞이해 한국 문화에 익숙하지 않은 다문화가정 가족들과 함께 지난 12일 추석 전통 음식 만들기 행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

보령시여성단체협의회 주관으로 열린 이번 행사에는 베트남, 중국, 일본 등 결혼이주 여성 20명과 가족, 여성단체회원 20여 명이 참여해 구절판, 떡산적, 송편 등을 만들며 추석의 의미를 전하고 한국 음식과 문화를 배우는 시간을 가졌다. 

행사에 참여한 결혼이주 여성 참가자는 "서툰 솜씨지만 명절 음식을 만들어 가족들과 함께 나눠 먹을 생각을 하니 뿌듯하고 좋다"고 소감을 전했다. 

김동일 시장은 "결혼이민자 지역사회 정착사업으로 진행한 행사를 통해 다문화 가정의 여성분들께 한국 음식과 문화를 알리는 계기가 됐으면 좋겠다" 면서 "이번 명절 한국의 따뜻한 정을 느끼며 가족들과 함께 즐거운 시간 보내시길 바란다"고 말했다. 

한편, 보령시여성단체협의회는 매년 명절 음식 만들기 체험을 개최해 결혼이주 여성들의 한국 생활 적응과 지역사회 참여를 돕고 있다.
