충남 홍성군이 원도심 활성화를 위한 대책의 하나로 유휴 공공시설을 활용한 청년창업 엑셀레이팅 점포를 개설한다.

이를 위해 홍성군은 오는 8월 남문동 어울림센터 준공식에 맞춰 홍성군 최초의 청년창업 엑셀레이팅 공간 ‘홍성청춘상점’ 5개소를 운영한다고 18일 밝혔다. 

이번 사업은 원도심 내 유휴 공공시설을 활용해 청년 창업 인큐베이팅 교육과 연계될 수 있는 청년 창업 엑셀레이팅 공간으로 3년간 보증금 면제, 임대료 50% 감면, 간판 설치 등을 지원하는 사업이다.

홍성군의 이번 사업은 청년들이 스스로 상권분석과 안정적인 시장 정착을 직접 경험할 수 있는 민선8기 청년정책의 일환으로 추진하고 있다.

앞서 홍성군은 지난 5월 18세 이상 49세 이하 미취업자를 대상으로 운영자를 모집하고, 6월 개인역량 발표평가를 통해 5개 점포 운영자를 최종 선정했다. 

선정된 점포는 베이킹 체험 및 디저트 판매점 ‘단미가’, 뉴트로 무인사진관 ‘머무르다’, 독립서점 ‘오늘산책’, 미술체험 소품판매점 ‘예방구’, 경계선 지능 아동 대상 교구 판매 및 교육 상담소 ‘함께 할 우리들’이다.

홍성군은 3년간의 청년 창업 엑셀레이팅 기간 동안 5개 점포가 협의체를 구성하고 공유오피스를 활용하여 자신만의 아이템을 가지고 창업에 성공적으로 정착할 수 있도록 컨설팅과 멘토교육을 운영할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
