올해로 3년째를 맞은 ‘아산 외암마을 야행’ 첫날, 야행에 참여한 인파가 대거 모여들면서 순조로운 출발을 보였다.

충남 아산시 송악면 외암마을과 저잣거리 일원에서 개최된 ‘2024 아산 외암마을 야행(이하 외암마을 야행)’ 첫날인 6일 1만 5000명이 참여해 성황을 이뤘다고 아산시가 7일 밝혔다.

3년째를 맞고 있는 외암마을 야행은 국가유산청의 ‘문화유산 야행’ 공모사업에 선정돼 시작한 축제로, 올해는 ‘조선시대 외암마을로의 초대’라는 주제로 3일간 열린다.

약 500년 전부터 형성돼 현재까지도 주민들이 실제 거주하고 있는 외암민속마을은 국가민속문화유산으로 지정돼 있으며, 추사체 현판·소나무·괴석이 어우러진 정원 등을 보유한 건재고택과 참판댁·연엽주·돌담길·기와 및 초가 등 유서 깊은 문화유산을 보유한 명소다.

이번 야행의 주요 콘텐츠는 △외암여정·야화(夜畵) △외암풍류·야설(夜說) △외암장터·야시(夜市) △외암야사·야사(夜史) △외암야식·야식(夜食) △외암유숙·야숙(夜宿) △외암마실·야로(夜路) △외암달빛·야경(夜景) 등 8가지 야(夜) 테마에 21개 프로그램으로 구성돼 있다.

야행 첫날인 이날 오선분 가옥에 설치된 주무대에서 팝페라 가수 유명지를 시작으로 더 크리에이티브 판, 색소포니스트 신유식, 국악예술단 소리악의 공연이, 저잣거리에서는 싱어송라이터 문빛·정해일의 공연이 펼쳐졌다. 

마을 중심인 건재고택 안채에서는 옛 서당을 보여주는 외암서당 프로그램이 진행됐다.

이와 함께 참봉댁에서 진행된 공연 ‘외암 옛날옛적에’, 마을 내 문화유산을 공부하는 ‘마을 한바퀴’, 문화유산 산책 스탬프 투어, 상류층 가옥에서 진행된 다도체험 등 다양한 프로그램이 방문객을 반겼다. 

외암마을 먹거리장터와 저잣거리에서는 탕후루·젤라또 아이스크림·파전·잔치국수·산채비빔밥·소고기국밥·두부전골·커피·주스 등 다양한 메뉴를 준비했으며, 푸드트럭까지 가동되며 식도락을 풍성하게 만들었다.

아산시는 방문객 편의를 위해 강당골주차장과 송남중학교 운동장에 임시주차장 2개소를 확보하고 셔틀버스를 20분간 운행해 교통체증을 최소화했다.
