충남 아산시가 제69회 현충일인 6일 보훈단체 등 500여 명 참석한 가운데 남산안보공원 충렬탑에서 추념식을 거행했다.

‘당신이 지킨 대한민국, 이제 당신을 지키겠습니다’라는 주제로 거행된 이날 추념식에서 박경귀 아산시장은 “아산시장으로서 국가유공자들의 숭고한 희생의 가치를 지켜나가기 위해 의무와 책임을 다하겠다”고 다짐했다.

특히 올해는 6.25참전유공자의 후손인 유동주 군과 강예나 양이 추모 헌시를 낭송해 순국선열과 호국 영령의 희생과 헌신에 감사하는 마음을 되새겼다.

한편 아산시는 호국보훈의 달을 맞아 관내 주요 거리 23개소에 호국보훈의 달 현수막을 게시해 보훈 문화 확산을 독려하고 있다.

이와 함께 6·25전쟁 제74주년 기념식을 비롯해 호국보훈을 주제로 아산시립합창단 정기공연 ,전쟁사진 전시회, 시민참여 이벤트 등 다양한 행사를 개최할 예정이다.
