대전관광공사(이하 공사)가 지난 4월 25일부터 27일까지 베트남 빈증성과 호찌민에서 대전광역시한의사회(이하 한의사회)와 대전의 우수 의료․웰니스관광 인프라를 알리기 위한 홍보설명회와 나눔의료봉사 활동을 펼쳤다고 28일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 지난 2023년 8월 대전의 우수한 의료웰니스 인프라를 해외에 홍보하고 이를 기반으로 더 많은 외국인 환자 유치 활성화를 위해 상호 협력하기로 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했으며 후속 일환으로 행사를 개최했다.

공사와 한의사회는 대전시와 대전시 자매도시인 베트남 빈증성의 협조를 받아 25일 빈증성Van Phuc병원, 26일에는 빈증성전통의학병원에서 현지인 및 한국 교민들 대상으로 한의학을 통한 나눔의료봉사를 실시하고, 현장 방문객 대상으로 대전 의료웰니스관광 인프라를 알리는 홍보관을 운영했다. 

또한 현장에 찾아온 방문객들은 근골격계, 호흡기, 소화기, 내과 질환 등 한의사회 의료진들로부터 다양한 한의학적 치료를 받으며 한의학의 우수성을 직접 체험하는 기회를 가졌고, 양일간 서로 다른 의료기관에서 의료 봉사를 진행한 만큼 현지인들로부터 큰 호응을 받았다.

27일 호찌민에서 개최한 대전 의료웰니스관광 홍보설명회를 통해 대전의 우수한 의료 인프라, 0시축제를 비롯한 대전의 다양한 축제, 웰니스관광 프로그램, 주요 관광지, 의료관광객 유치에 따른 지원사업 등을 홍보했다.

또한, 2부 행사로 진행된 한의사회 한방 의료 세미나에서는 외국인 환자유치의료기관인 필한방병원 윤제필 원장을 필두로, 김세종 원장(김세종한의원), 주한음 한의사(대전대대전한방병원), 홍정수 원장(자생한방병원)의 주제별 발표를 통해 한의학의 우수성을 알리고, 현지 의료인들과 지속적인 교류의 물꼬를 틔었다. 

대전관광공사 윤성국 사장은 “이번 베트남에서 개최한 홍보설명회와 나눔의료봉사는 한의사회와 협업으로 진행하여 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로 다양한 협회․기관 등과 협력사업을 통해 대전의 의료웰니스 인프라를 확충할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
