실치의 고향 충남 당진 장고항에서 오는 27일과 28일 이틀간 볼거리와 먹거리가 풍부한 장고항 실치 마을 수산물 홍보 축제를 개최한다. 

실치 마을 수산물 홍보행사로 개최되는 이번 축제에는 봄을 맞아 당진 장고항에는 봄철에만 맛볼 수 있는 실치회를 찾는 관광객들로 북적일 것으로 보인다.

봄철 별미이자 당진의 9미(味) 중 하나인 실치는 흰베도라치 새끼로 서해와 남해에 주로 서식하며 석문면 장고항 마을에서 즐겨 먹었다.

실치는 성어인 베도라치로 성장하기 위해 깊은 바다로 돌아가기 때문에 실치잡이 철은 3월 말부터 5월 중순까지다. 올해는 작년에 비해 실치가 빨리 나오고 있어 맛있는 실치를 즐기기 위해서는 4월을 넘기지 않는 편이 좋다.
