제22대 총선 개표 결과 대전지역 7개 선거구 모두 더불어민주당(이하 민주당)이 싹쓸이를 하면서 21대 총선을 재현했다.

민주당은 중구청장 재선거와 유성구의원 보궐선거도 승리 하면서 9대0 완승을 이뤘다.

개표 결과 동구에서는 장철민 후보가  53.28%의 득표율로 45.06% 를 득표한 국민의힘 윤창현 후보를 누르고 승리 하면서 재선에 성공했다.

중구에서는 전직 중구청장이 대결을 펼친 결과 민주당 박용갑 후보가 52.08%를 득표하면서 47.91% 의 득표에 그친 국민의힘 이은권 후보를 누르고 당선됐다.

서구갑 선거구에서는 개표 초반부터 앞서가기 시작한 민주당 장종태 후보가 52.83%의 최종 득표율로 41.43%를 득표한 국민의힘 조수연 후보를 누르고 국회 입성에 성공했다.

서구을 선거구에서는 4선에 도전한 민주당 박범계 후보가 54.58%의 득표율로 승리했다.

국민의힘 양홍규 후보는 42.87%를 득표하면서 국회 입성이 좌절됐다.

유성갑 선거구에서는 민주당 조승래 후보가 56.77%를 득표하면서 40.84%를 득표한 국민의힘 윤소식 후보를 누르고 3선에 성공했다.

5선 국회의원과 여성 과학자 대결로 관심을 모았던 유성을 선거구에서는 민주당 황정아 후보가 59.26%의 득표율로 37.69%의 득표를 기록한 국민의힘 이상민 후보를 누르고 여의도행 티켓을 가져갔다.

6선에 도전한 국민의힘 이상민 후보는 개표 초반부터 압도 당하면서 정치 신인 여성 과학자의 벽을 넘지 못하고 고배를 마셨다.

대덕구 선거구에서는 민주당 박정현 후보가 50.92%를 득표하면서 43.05%를 득표한 국민의힘 박경호 후보를 따돌리고 국회에 입성했다.

이번 총선과 함께 실시한 대전 중구청장 재선거에서는 시민단체 출신 민주당 김제선 후보가 50%를 득표 하면서 구청장에 당선됐다.

중구청장 재선거 투표결과 새로운미래 윤양수 후보는 8.83%, 개혁신당 권중순 후보 6.67%, 국민의힘 지지를 받은 무소속 이동한 후보는 34.49%의 득표율을 보였다.

이번 총선 결과 대전지역에서 처음으로 여성 국회의원이 2명이나 탄생하면서 앞으로의 여성 정친인 신대를 예고했다.
