노후 경유차량으로 인한 대기질 오염 발생이 증가하면서 각 지자체마다 노후 경유차량에 대한 조기폐차 지원 정책을 펴고 있는 가운데 세종시가 오는 14일까지 수송분야 미세먼지 저감을 위한 노후경유차 조기폐차 지원사업 신청을 받는다고 밝혔다.

사업예산은 총 27억 8,600만 원으로 지난해 12월부터 배출가스 5등급 차량의 운행제한 전면 시행에 따라 생계형 차주 등의 경제적 부담을 줄이기 위해 지난해 13억 100만 원 대비 114% 증액 편성했다.

배출가스 5등급은 총중량 3.5톤 미만은 최대 300만 원, 3.5톤 이상 최대 3000만 원까지 지원받을 수 있다.

4등급은 총중량 3.5톤 미만은 최대 800만 원, 3.5톤 이상은 최대 7800만 원, 건설기계는 최대 1억 2000만 원까지 지원된다.

보조금 지원은 신청일 기준 세종시 또는 대기관리권역(000)에 6개월 이상 연속 등록돼야 한다.

한편 세종시는 미세먼지 계절관리기간(2023.12.∼2024.3.)에 5등급 경유차량에 대한 운행 제한을 시행 중으로, 위반 시 1일 10만 원의 과태료를 부과하고 있다.
