'2023계룡軍문화축제'가 지난 22일 서울 백범김구기념관에서 열린 제12회 ‘2024대한민국축제콘텐츠대상’(이하 ‘콘텐츠대상’)에서 콘텐츠축제 부문 대상을 수상했다고 계룡시가 23일 밝혔다.

콘텐츠대상은 (사)한국축제콘텐츠협회가 주최하고 문화체육관광부, 한국관광공사 등을 비롯해 8개 기관이 후원하는 행사로, 전국 유망축제 중 관광 ,역사 ,경제 ,콘텐츠 ,예술 등 분야별로 최우수 축제를 선정하고 있다.

이번 콘텐츠대상은 지난해 개최된 축제 중에서 지역경제발전과 관광활성화에 기여하고 향후 발전 가능성과 경쟁력을 갖춘 축제를 대상으로 방문객 인지·만족도, 지역민 지지도, 콘텐츠 차별성, 안전관리체계, 지역사회 기여도 등의 평가기준에 따라 선정됐다. 

심사위원은 문화예술 및 축제관광 분야 교수, 감독, 언론인 등 70명을 선정위원회로 구성하고 이중 추첨을 통해 25명을 심사위원으로 선정하는 등 공정한 심사를 위해 각고의 노력을 기울인 것으로 알려졌다.

계룡軍문화축제는 그동안 ‘지상군페스티벌’과 함께 대한민국 최대 규모의 軍관련 축제를 공동 개최하면서 지역의 문화예술발전과 지역경제 활성화에 기여해 왔다. 

또한 해외 관람객들에게 대한민국 軍문화의 다양성과 우수성을 홍보하는 등 계룡시 관광산업 발전은 물론 대한민국 국군의 우수성을 알린 공로를 이번 대상 수상으로 인정받게 됐다.
