충남 천안시가 올해 1조1천314억 원을 투입해 141개  인구정책 과제를 추진한다고 15일 밝혔다. 

이를 위해 천안시는 15일 김석필 천안시 부시장 등이 참석한 가운데 2024년 천안시 인구정책자문위원회 및 인구정책실무추진단 정기회의를 열고 인구정책 시행계획을 확정하고 인구정책 방향과 인구구조변화 대응 방안을 논의했다.

천안시가 밝힌 계획안은 ‘모든 세대가 함께 행복한 지속가능한 도시 천안’이라는 비전 아래 저출산·고령화 대응 ,일자리 강화 ,생활환경개선 ,인구구조 변화대응 등 4대 분야 141개 정책과제로 구성됐다. 

특히 맞춤형 인구정책 발굴 추진과 양질의 일자리 창출을 위해 15개 산업단지 조성 및 기반시설 구축을 통한 산업기반 확충, 미래 신성장 스타트업 발굴·육성에 힘쓰고 있다. 

김석필 부시장은 “모든 세대가 골고루 혜택을 받을수 있도록 중장기 관점에서 폭넓게 접근하겠다”며 “일자리, 주거, 교통, 돌봄 공백 해소를 위한 인프라 확대 등 다양한 분야에서 종합적이고 선도적인 정책으로 인구감소와 인구구조 변화 대응에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
