고용노동부가 주관하는 ‘2024년 청년도전지원사업’ 공모사업에 충남 당진시가 최종 선정돼 국비 4억 5천만 원을 확보했다고 14일 밝혔다.

‘청년도전지원사업’은 구직 기간이 길어지거나 단념하는 청년들을 대상으로 맞춤형 프로그램을 제공해 청년들의 구직의욕을 높이는 사업이다. 

지원사업을 이수한 청년에게는 단기(5주)는 50만 원의 참여 수당을 지급하고, 중기(15주) 이수 시 150만 원, 장기(25주) 이수 시 250만 원의 참여 수당을 지급하며, 이수 성과급(인센티브)을 포함해 최대 350만 원까지 지원한다.

지원 대상자는 구직 단념 청년, 자립 준비 청년, 청소년복지시설 입·퇴소 청년, 북한 이탈 청년 등이다.

프로그램은 단기, 중기, 장기로 나누어 밀착 상담, 사례관리, 자신감 회복, 진로 탐색, 취업역량 강화 등 과정으로 당진청년타운 나래에서 청년들의 미래 설계를 돕는다.

당진시 관계자는 “‘청년도전지원사업’은 청년들의 자신감 회복을 통해 사회 진출을 지원하는 사업으로 청년들의 적극적인 참여가 필요하다. 당진시는 청년들의 취업을 지원하기 위해 앞으로도 다양한 노력을 기울이이겠다”라고 밝혔다.
