설 명절을 앞두고 이장우 대전시장이 6일 오후,  동구 자양동 소재 자혜아동복지센터와 중구 옥계동 소재 늘사랑아동센터을 방문해 위문품을 전달하고, 시설 생활자와 종사자들에게 설 명절 인사를 전했다.

이장우 대전시장은 “지역 소외계층에게 이웃의 정겹고 따뜻한 정이 전해지기 바라는 마음으로 준비했다”라며 “명절에 더 큰 소외감을 느낄 수 있는 소외계층에게 시민 모두 많은 관심과 온정을 보내달라”라고 말했다.

이장우 시장에 이어 7일 유득원 행정부시장과 8일 장호종 경제과학부시장도 노인ㆍ장애인 등 사회복지시설을 방문해 행복 나눔에 동참할 예정이다.

대전시는 이번 위문을 통해 기초생활수급자 1만 9586세대에게는 온누리 상품권, 313개소의 사회복지시설에는 쇠고기, 쌀, 과일 등을 전달할 계획이다.
