충남도의회 ‘충청남도 국방관련기관이전과 국방산단조성을 위한 특별위원회(위원장 윤기형, 이하 국방특위)’ 가 지난 29일 제4차 회의를 개최하고, 활동 결과보고서를 채택했다고 밝혔다.

국방특위는 충남 논산에 국방관련 기관 이전과 산단을 조성하고자 지난해 9월 출범됐다. 방위산업 육성 및 국방산단 조성으로 대기업 유치와 일자리 창출 등 지역경제 활성화를 선도하기 위함이었다. 특히 급격한 인구감소로 지방소멸 위기에 처한 충남 남부권의 균형발전을 도모하고자, 도의회 차원에서 공동 대응하고 다각적인 방안 마련을 위해 힘써왔다.

이날 특위는 지난 1년간 집행부로부터 국방이전 및 조성에 대한 주요 업무와 추진상황 보고를 청취하고, 질의응답 시간을 가졌다. 또 주요 활동사진과 언론보도 내용 등 운영 성과를 정리한 후 결과보고서를 채택하고 활동을 종료했다.
