대전시교육청이 일선 학교 교육환경 개선을 위한 조치로 2023년 관내 초ㆍ중·고 43개교에 총 13억 5천여만 원의 예산을 지원해 노후 책·걸상 및 사물함 교체를 완료했다고 28일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 쾌적한 수업 환경을 위해 노후화되고, 내용연수 9년 이상 경과한 책·걸상과 사물함을 대상으로 실시했다.

교체 대상 학교는 초등학교 22개교, 중학교 13개교, 고등학교 8개교로 책·걸상 6451조, 사물함 6813칸을 교체 완료했다.

쾌적한 교육환경 조성을 위해 노후 책걸상 등 교체를 완료한 대전시교육청은 최근 학생들의 신장과 체격이 향상됨에 따라 체형변화에 맞추어 안전성을 강화한 책·걸상으로 교체함으로써 성장기 학생들의 건강에도 도움을 주며 학습능률 향상에도 기여할 것이라고 기대했다.
