박경귀 아산시장이 국립경찰병원 예타면제 당위성을 설명했다.

박 시장은 23일 오전 국회를 방문해 국립경찰병원의 예비타당성조사(이하 예타) 면제를 위한 ‘경찰공무원 보건안전 및 복지 기본법(이하 경찰복지법)’ 개정안 통과를 건의했다.

국회를 찾아 박 시장이 건의한 경찰복지법 개정안은 ‘신속한 경찰병원 설립을 위해 경찰병원 건설사업에 필요한 사전절차를 간소화하고, 예비타당성 조사를 면제한다’는 내용을 담고 있으며, 지난 9월 8일(이만희 의원), 10월 23일(강훈식 의원) 두 차례에 걸쳐 각각 발의됐다.

특히 이달 21일에는 두 의원의 발의안을 병합한 위원장 대안으로 행정안전위원회 2소위를 통과, 이날 행안위 전체 회의 상정을 앞둔 상황이다.

박경귀 시장은 행안위 전체회의에 앞서 회의장을 찾아, 위원들에게 일일이 경찰복지법 개정안에 대한 중요성과 지역의 염원을 전달했다.
