전국이중언어말하기대회는 교육부와 ㈜LG가 주최하고 중앙다문화교육센터와 한국외국어대학교가 주관하는 행사로 서울 LG사이언스파크에서 진행되었다.
이번 대회 초등부는 자유주제를 모국어 및 한국어로 각각 3분씩 발표하고, 중등부는 ‘나의 진로’를 주제로 모국어와 한국어로 각각 2분씩 발표와 2분간 질의응답하는 형식으로 진행되었다.
올해로 11번째를 맞이하는 전국이중언어말하기대회는 다문화학생의 한국어와 모국어의 이중언어 학습을 장려하고 강점 개발의 기회를 제공하여 글로벌 인재 역량을 향상하는데 기여하였으며, 참가 학생 모두는 ‘다문화언어학교 언어과정’에 참가할 수 있는 기회가 주어진다.

Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education wins the Minister of Education Award at the National Bilingual Speech Contest
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education reported that on November 18, two elementary school students who participated in the National Bilingual Speech Contest both won the Minister of Education Award.
Among the participants, one middle school student received the National Lifelong Education Promotion Agency Director's Award.
The National Bilingual Speech Contest was hosted by the Ministry of Education and LG Co., Ltd. and hosted by the Central Multicultural Education Center and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and was held at LG Science Park in Seoul.
Representative 29 elementary school students and 25 middle school students who had passed the preliminary and final competitions of metropolitan and provincial offices of education across the country participated in the competition in Korean and 15 other languages.

The National Bilingual Speech Contest, which celebrates its 11th anniversary this year, has contributed to improving the capabilities of global talent by encouraging multicultural students' bilingual learning of Korean and their native language and providing opportunities to develop their strengths.
