대전 대덕구 중리동에 지역주민의 문화복지 공공인프라 구축을 위한 복합문화센터가 들어섰다.

대덕구는 중리근린공원(중리동 388-17번지)에서 ‘중리근린공원 복합문화센터 건립’ 사업을 완료하고 준공식 및 개관식을 개최했다고 22일 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 최충규 대덕구청장, 김홍태 대덕구의회 의장, 박영순 국회의원 등 시·구 의원, 주민 등 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다. 

중리근린공원 복합문화센터는 지난 2020년 생활SOC복합화사업 공모에 선정돼 총사업비 58억원을 투입, 지난 2021년 12월 착공해 지하 1층, 지상 2층 연면적 2231.18㎡ 규모로 건립됐으며, 지난 19일부터 본격 운영에 들어갔다.

센터 1층에는 작은 도서관과 생활문화센터가, 2층에는 국민체육센터가 조성돼 주민들의 소통과 화합의 복합문화공간으로 자리 잡을 것으로 전망된다.

특히 1층 가온누리 작은 도서관에는 어린이·유아·일반도서 등 도서 2700여권이 구비돼있어 주민들의 문화공간이자 평생교육의 장으로서 지역문화 수준 향상을 위한 구심점 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.
