대전시와 국민의힘 대전시당이 25일 오전 옛 충남도청사에서 민선 8기 세 번째 ‘국민의 힘 대전광역시당- 대전시 당정협의회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

일류 경제도시 대전 실현을 목표로 지역 현안 해결과 내년도 국비 확보를 위한 이번 당정협의회는 내년도 국비 사업 건의 및 지역 현안 사업 공유 등 주요 시정에 대한 당‧정 간 소통과 협력을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 

이날 당정협의회에는 이장우 대전시장과 이택구 행정부시장, 이석봉 경제과학부시장, 박연병 기획조정실장 이하 실국본부장과 정재필 경제수석보좌관, 송충원 정무수석보좌관 등이 참석했고, 국민의힘 대전광역시당에서는 이은권 위원장과 윤창현(동구 / 비례대표 국회의원)·조수연(서구갑)·양홍규(서구을)·정상철(유성구을)·박경호(대덕구) 당협위원장, 박희조 동구청장, 김광신 중구청장, 서철모 서구청장, 최충규 대덕구청장, 이상래 대전시의회 의장, 선기운 시당 사무처장 등이 참석했다.

이날 당정협의회에서 대전시는 대전 0시 축제 화려한 부활 ,리그오브레전드대표대회 LCK결승전 개최 ,공공어린이재활병원 개원 ,우주산업클러스터 예타 면제 및 국비확보 등 최근 거둔 성과를 설명하고, 시당과 정치권의 지원에 감사를 표했다.

또한 대전시는 내년도 정부 예산안에 미반영됐거나 증액이 필요한 사업에 대해 오는 10월부터 진행되는 국회 심의에서 사업비가 추가 확보될 수 있도록 시당에서 적극적으로 나서 줄 것을 요청했다. 

대전시가 시당에 협력을 요청한 국비 사업은 대전 도시철도 2호선 트램 건설 ,우주기술혁신 인재양성센터 구축 ,충청권 광역철도 1단계 건설 ,2027 하계세계 대학경기 시설 개보수 ,북부권(대덕)화물자동차 휴게소 조성 등 10건이다. 

이와 함께 현재 중점을 두고 추진하는 대덕특구 K-켄달스퀘어 조성 ,대전 첨단바이오 메디컬 혁신지구 조성 ,한국첨단반도체기술센터 대전 유치 ,대전 혁신도시 공공기관 이전 ,호남고속도로 지선 확장 및 지하화 등 현안 사업 5건의 필요성을 설명하고 시당 차원의 적극적인 협력을 요청했다. 

이날 회의에서 이장우 시장은 “정부의 긴축 재정 기조로 인해 내년 예산 확보가 만만치 않았지만, 시당의 전폭적인 지원과 많은 관심으로 대전시의 내년도 현안 사업에 대한 국비만큼은 대부분 반영될 수 있었다”라면서 감사의 마음을 전했다. 

이에 대해 이은권 시당위원장은 “대전시당에서도 대전시 발전을 위해 국민의힘 중앙당에 지역 현안 사업 지원을 건의했다”라며“내년도 국비 예산 확보에도 당력을 집중해 부족한 부분은 예산심의과정에서 더 많이 확보할 수 있도록 계속 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.
