충남 공주시 유구, 신풍, 사곡, 우성을 가로지르는 유구천에 토종물고기를 방류하는 행사가 유구천 창말다리 밑에서 13년 만에 실시됐다.

더불어민주당 공주·부여·청양 협의회 산하 더불어봉사단은 23일 유구 종교단체와 시민단체 등 8개 단체와 공동으로 관불산 살리기 및 유구천 토종물고기 방류행사를 했다. 

더불어민주당 당원과 참여 단체 회원, 학생 등이 참석한 가운데 토종물고기인 붕어와 흰줄납줄개, 참붕어, 각시붕어 등 3천 마리를 방류했다.

더불어민주당 공주·부여·청양 지역협의회 박수현위원장은 인사말을 통해 “유구천 토종생태계를 살리고 맑고 깨끗한 생태하천이 되기를 기대한다”며 “지난 2011년 이후 중단된 토종물고기 방류행사를 앞으로 매년 실시할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

유구천 창말다리 일원은 유구 수국축제가 열리는 장소로 올해는 13만명의 관광객이 다녀갔다.

이날 행사에는 유구관불산 생태보존위원회, 한국농업경영인 유구읍회, 마곡천생태환경보존위원회, 공주농민회, 공주참여연대, 유구기독교연합회, 카톨릭대전교구생태보존위원회, 천주교 유구성당이 함께했다.
