지난 9일부터 충남 부여군 백제호 카누경기장에서 열린 ‘제14회 국민체육진흥공단 이사장배 전국카누경기대회’ K-2 500m 경기에서 대전대화중학교가 금메달을 획득했다고 대전동부교육지원청이 밝혔다.

대전대화중은 이번 대회 K-2 500m, K-2 200m, K-4 200m 3개 종목에서 금 1개, 은 1개, 동 1개를 획득했다.

이번 대회에서는 지난 회장배전국카누대회에서 3관왕을 달성했던 김고은, 유지선이 K-2 500m에서 2분08초7의 기록으로 경기 구리여중(2분09초4), 인천 간재울중(2분11초)을 누르고 금메달을 목에 걸었다. 

K-2 200m에서도 김고은, 유지선은 대회 2관왕을 노렸으나 경기 구리여중에 아쉽게 패하며 값진 은메달을 획득했다. 

특히 K-4 200m 경기에서는 카누를 시작한지 얼마되지 않은 김나령(1학년)이 놀라운 집중력을 발휘하며 3위에 입상해 가능성을 보여줬다.

최근 카누 꿈나무 육성에 매진하며 신흥강호로 주목받는 대전대화중 카누부는 내년 전남 일원에서 개최되는 제53회 전국소년체육대회에서도 금메달에 도전할 계획이다.
