정명국 대전시의원(국민의힘, 동구 3)이 대표 발의한 ‘대전광역시 환경친화적 자동차 보급 촉진 조례 일부 개정 조례안’이 14일 제273회 임시회 복지환경위원회 3차 회의에서 원안가결 됐다. 

일부 개정 조례안을 대표 발의한 정명국 의원은 제안설명을 통해 “환경친화적 자동차 충전시설에서 차량 화재가 발생한 경우 막대한 피해 발생이 우려되므로 충전시설의 안전성 강화를 위하여 개정하려는 것”이라고 조례 개정 이유를 밝혔다.

또한 주요 내용 설명에서 “제4조의6을 신설하여 충전시설의 안전성 강화를 위하여 충전시설에 대한 소화설비 등의 설치에 필요한 지원을 할 수 있도록 규정했다”고 말했다.

이어 정 의원은 “환경친화적 자동차 보급 촉진을 위해서는 충전시설 또한 그에 비례하여 설치해야 할 것”이라며, “지하보다는 지상에 설치하는 것이 대형 화재를 예방하는 방안도 되겠지만, 현재 지하에 설치된 충전시설에 화재 감지설비, 소화설비 등을 설치하도록 권고하면서 이에 필요한 지원을 한다면 충전시설에서 발생하는 화재로 인한 막대한 피해 발생을 막을 수 있을 것”이라고 조례 개정의 당위성을 강조했다.

이날 복지환경위원회에서 원안가결된 ‘대전광역시 환경친화적 자동차 보급 촉진 조례 일부개정조례안’은 18일 열리는 제3차 본회의에서 의결되면 10월 초부터 시행될 예정이다.
