인삼의 본고장 충남 금산군이 상품성 개선지원을 통해 개발된 아침마당홍삼 홍삼음료 제품이 베트남, 캄보디아 등 6개국에 총 20만 달러 규모로 수출된다고 7일 밝혔다.

이번 동남아로 수출되는 홍삼 제품은 맛을 개선하고 유통 및 섭취 편의성을 증진했으며 타우린 등을 함유한 피로 해소용 음료로 개발됐다. 

금산군은 건강기능제품 구성을 탈피하고 인삼제품의 다양성을 확보하기 위해 올해 처음으로 인삼을 원료로 한 식품 개발 등을 돕는 인삼제품 상품성 개선지원에 나서고 있다. 

박범인 금산군수는 지난 6일 금산세계인삼엑스포광장에서 열린 수출 선적식에 참석해 성과를 축하하고 제조업체 관계자와 금산인삼제품의 경쟁력 확보를 논의했다.

이 자리에서 박 군수는 “상품성 개선 지원을 통해 개발된 금산인삼제품이 수출길에 오르는 것은 매우 상징적인 의미”라며 “앞으로도 금산인삼 소비가 활성화될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 금산군은 올해 열리는 제41회 금산세계인삼축제를 통해 상품성 개선 금산인삼제품을 선보이고 서울시 송파구 소재 하늘선물금산인삼판매장, 온라인 쇼핑몰 등을 통한 판매도 시행할 예정이다.
