국민의힘 대전시당이 지난 7월 26일부터 7월 29일까지 각 당원협의회를 중심으로 대전 지역 수해복구 활동을 실시하는 것을 시작으로 수해로 지친 시민들 위로에 나선다.

먼저 지난 26일에는 중구 당원협의회가 이은권 당협위원장을 중심으로 광역‧기초의원, 당협 당직자 등 핵심당원 50여 명이 모여 문창교 하상도로 인근에서 하천 정화작업을 실시했다.

27일에는 조수연 당협위원장(서구갑)이 정림동 무궁화공원 인근에서 당협 핵심당원 40여 명과 함께 인근지역 청소를 하며 구슬땀을 흘렸고, 서구을 당원협의회도 같은 날 양홍규 당협위원장 등 핵심당원 40여 명이 모여 만년동 유등파크 골프장 인근 정화작업을 실시해 집중 호우로 침수됐던 하천 둔치에서 환경정화 활동과 수해복구 활동을 이어갔다.

7월 29일에는 정상철 당협위원장(유성구을)을 중심으로 기초의원 등 유성구갑과 유성구을 당원 40여 명이 관평동 동화울수변공원에 모여 청소작업을 실시할 예정고, 8월 3일 동구 당원협의회는 윤창현 국회의원과 박희조 구청장 등 40여 명이 참여하여 산내동 일대 40여 가구에 구호물품을 전달할 예정이다.

각 당협별 활동과 별도로 대전시당도 수해로 피해가 큰 인근 충청지역을 방문하여 피해를 입은 농작물‧하우스 정리작업 등 수해복구 활동을 펼칠 예정이다.

이은권 대전시당위원장은“이번 수해로 충청지역이 큰 상처를 입어 마음이 매우 아프다. 수해로 상처받은 민심을 위로하는 것은 정당으로서의 가장 큰 역할이다.”라고 얘기하며,“국민의힘은 상처받은 충청민심을 위로하고, 조속한 피해복구를 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 약속했다.
