대전 동구청이 보조금을 횡령한 전력이 있는 복지법인에 보조금을 지속적으로 지원하고 있는 것으로 확인됐다.

 

대전 동구청은 동구 산내로에 위치한 아동복지시설 A법인에 지난해 기준 16억 원의 보조금을 지원했다.

 

A법인은 지난 2020년 11억9천8백만 원, 2021년도에 13억7천1백만 원 원의 보조금을 지원받았다.

 

동구청이 A법인에 지원한 보조금은 시설 운영비로 운영비에는 시설에 입소해 있는 아동들의 생계유지비가 포함돼 있어 아동들의 피복비를 포함한 주부식비 등 급식비와 인건비 등으로 사용할 수 있도록 했다.

 

문제는 동구청으로 부터 매년 10억 원 이상의 보조금을 지원 받고 있는 A법인이 지난 2018년 보조금을 횡령한 사실이 밝혀지면서 당시 법인 대표와 시설장인 원장이 일선에서 물러나는 등 논란을 일으켰었다.
