충남 서천군이 농공단지 입주기업과 근로자 근무환경 개선을 위해 총 18억 5천만 원을 투입한다고 밝혔다.

서천군이 투입하는 18억 5천만 원 가운데는 근로자 복지향상과 노후시설 정비 등 기업 편의를 높일 수 있는 사업에 중점적으로 추입된다.

이를 위해 서천군은 농공단지입주기업협의회에서 건의한 의견을 반영해 이같이 지원을 결정했, 주된 사업으로는 농공단지 내 노후도로 정비 ,폐수처리장 사무실 재축 ,관리사무실 회의실 증축 ,녹지공간 정비사업 등이다.

앞서, 서천군은 지난해 종천농공단지 생활복지관(건축면적 411㎡, 지상1층) 개소로 식당과 휴게시설 부족에 따른 근로자의 불편함을 해소해 큰 호응을 얻은 바 있다.

한편, 서천군은 장항원수농공단지를 비롯해 총 4개의 농공단지에 71개 기업이 입주했으며, 종천2농공단지 5필지 ,서면김가공특화단지 2필지 등의 잔여 필지를 분양하고 있다.
