대전용산초등학교(이하 용산초) 설립과 관련해 "모듈러교실 이라도 설치해야 한다...모듈러교실은 안된다" 학부모들 편가르기까지 유발시킨 대전시교육청이 용산초 모듈러교실 설치에 본격 나선가운데 이번에는 

공사로 인한 피해를 고스란히 학생들이 떠않을 것으로 예상되면서 또 다른 지적이 일고있다.

대전시교육청에 따르면 용산초 모듈러교실과 급식실 설치 작업을 위한 공사를 시작했다고 밝혔다.

문제는 용산초 모듈러교실 설치공사가 내년도 신학기 개학일 이후에도 수개월동안 지속되는 것으로 확인되면서 학생들의 등하굣길 안전에 대한 위협과 함께, 공사중 발생하는 소음으로 인한 학습권 침해 가능성이 제기되면서 대전교육청의 세심하지 못한 행정으로 학생들이 피해를 보게됐다는데 있다.

당초 대전교육청은 용산초 모듈러 설치공사를 방학이 시작되는 오는 28일부터 착공할 계획이었으나 일주일 앞당겨 교실과 급식실 공사에 앞서, 학생들 통학에 불편을 주지 않기 위해 방학 전까지 펜스 설치 등 준비작업만 할 예정으로 공사를 착수했다.

문제는 내년도 신학기 개학 후에도 공사가 이어져 학생들이 위험에 노출되는 것이다.

대전교육청은 용산초 모듈러 교실 설치를 위해 '모듈러 교실 제작 및 설치'와 '모듈러 교실 설치 및 급식실 증축' 계약을 체결하고 2단계로 사업을 진행 중이라고 밝혔다.

용산초 학부모들과 내년 용산초로 전‧입학할 아이를 둔 용산지구 입주예정자들은 아이들이 공사 환경에 노출되지 않도록 수차례 요구했지만 사실상 불가능해졌다.

대전교육청 관계자는 “급식실 공사가 (내년) 5월 완료될 것으로 예상하고 있다”며 “직원들이 수시로 현장에 나가 살피는 등 사고가 없도록 최대한 안전에 신경을 쓰겠다”고 말했다.
