이장우 대전시장이 대전시민의 휴식처인 보문산 관광개발에 민자유치를 하겠다는 의사를 나타냈다.

이장우 시장은 21일 열린 제268회 대전시의회 정례회 제2차 본회의에서 민경배 의원의 시정 질의에 이같이 답하면서 민간자본 유치에 적극 나서겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.

이 시장은 이날 민경배 의원이 보문산 관광개발과 관련한 시정지의에 이 같이 답변하고 "보문산 관광 개발사업의 실질적인 추진을 위해 민자 유치를 위한 사업성과 경제성 등을 포함한 기본적인 민자유치 제안서 작성 용역을 완료하고 참여기업 유치에 나설 계획"이라고 답변했다.

그러면서 이 시장은 막대한 사업비가 투입되는 사업으로 대전시 재정으로는 감당하기 어렵다는 판단을 했고, 그런 이유로 민자유치를 해야 한다는 입장을 보였다.

이 시장은 보문산 관광개발에 3000억 원이라는 막대한 사업비가 소요될 것으로 예상하고 있다고 말하고,  "민간사업자 제안사업으로 추진하면 기간 단축과 재원 확보가 쉬울 것으로 판단하고 있다"고 밝혀 민자유치에 힘을 실었다.
