충남 공주시 공무원들이 국내여비를 과다 지급하는 등 부절절한 행위를 한것이 시 자체 감사에서 적발되면서 도덕성이 도마에 올랐다. 

공주시 공무원들은 또 공용차량을 정비하면서 관련 사항을 차량정비대장에 기록하지 않는 등 관리에 헛점을 드러낸 것으로 확인됐다.

8일 공주시에 따르면 공주시는 지난달 24일부터 28일까지 닷새간 각 실과를 대상으로 예산과 회계 등 기관운영 업무전반에 대해 시 자체 감사를 벌였다.

감사 결과 2020년 6월부터 감사일까지 해당 부서는 공용차량 타이어 교체 등을 정비하면서 차량정비대장에 미입력하는 등 모두 10건의 규정을 위반한 것으로 확인됐다.

공용차량 관리에 헛점을 보이면서 근무기강 헤이 논란이 일고있는 이유다. 

해당 부서는 또  지난해 1월 15일부터 4월 2일까지 공용차량을 이용하는 경우 출장을 하는 공무원에게는 1만 원을 감액 지급해야 함에도 감액 없이 여비를 지급하다 적발됐다.

관련 규정을 스스로 지키지 않으면서 시 공무원들에 대한 도덕적헤이가 도를 넘었다는 지적이다.

여비 지급과 관련 공주시는 감사결과를 토대로 국내여비 지급을 소홀한 4건에 대해 4만 원을 해당 부서에 회수하도록 조치했다.

이와 관련 공주시 관계자는 "공용차량 관리규칙과 지방공무원 여비 조례의 관련 규정을 절저히 준수해 이런 사례가 발생하지 않도록 주의조치 하겠다"고 밝혔다.
