대전서구의회 전명자 의장이 지난 21일 동료의원의 5분 자유발언이 시작되자 집단으로 본회의장을 퇴장해 물의를 일으킨 의원들에 대해 윤리위 회부 의사를 밝혔다.

국민의힘 소속 의원 9명은 지난 21일  대전 서구의회 제272회 임시회 2차 본회의에서 더불어민주당 최지연 의원이 5분 자유발언에 나서자 집단으로 본회의장을 퇴장했다 최 의원의 발언이 끝나자 본회의장에 입장했었다.

당시 본회의장을 퇴장한 의원들은 국민의힘 정홍근·설재영·정현서·서지원·신현대·홍성영·최병순·오세길·정인화 의원으로 서구의회 국민의힘 의원 전원이 동참했다.

집단 퇴장은 서구의회 부의장인 국민의힘 정현서 의원이 주도를 한것으로 확인됐다.

이와 관련 전명자 의장은  "동료의원이 5분 발언을 하는 데 집단 퇴장하는 것은 그냥 넘어갈 일이 아니다"면서 "사과하지 않으면 징계를 논의하기 위한 윤리특별위원회 회부를 검토할 것"이라고 강경한 입장을 보였다.

전 의장은 또 이 같은 의사를 국민의힘 원내대표에게도 전달했다고 밝혔다.

그러면서 전명자 의장은 "구청장이나 집행기관이 잘못하고 있으면 의원들이 본회의장에서 따질 수도 있고, 지적할 수도 있다"며 "동료의원의 발언 내용이 마음에 들지 않더라도 집단 행동을 보이는 것은 의원으로서 부적절하다"고 지적했다.

한편 집단퇴장을 부른 최지연 의원은 지난 17일 열린 1차 본회의 5분 자유발언에서 서철모 서구청장(국민의힘)이 구민의 날 행사 때 “관저동 문화시설용지를 대전시와 시립도서관을 설계하는 것으로 확정지었다”고 한 발언에 문제를 제기했었다.

국민의힘 의원들은 당시 최 의원의 발언이 집행부 발목잡기를 한 것으로 보고, 이에 대한 항의로 최 의원이 발언대에 오르자 집단퇴장 이라는 촌극을 연출해 빈축을 샀다.
