김태흠 충남지사가 5일 도청 대회의실에서 민선8기 출범 100일 힘쎈충남 도정보고 기자회견을 가졌다.
 
지난 100일 동안 강한 추진력을 바탕으로 확실한 변화를 만들기 위해 노력해왔다고 밝힌 김태흠 지사는 그동안 추진해 온 주요 도정 과제로 △농어업의 스마트 미래 성장 산업화 △지역이 주도하는 발전 △신 경제산업지도 구축 △함께하는 따뜻한 공동체 등을 꺼냈다.

김 지사는 또 100일 중점과제 34개 중 △베이밸리 메가시티 경기도와 업무협약 체결 △글로벌 해양레저관광도시 조성 해양수산부‧보령시‧민간기업과 업무협약 체결 △한국 해양바이오 클러스터 조성 순항 △리브투게더 첫 사업 대상지 확정 △천안‧공주‧논산 부동산 조정지역 해제 등 31개에 대해 100일 목표를 달성하며, 충남의 새로운 역사와 미래를 향한 큰 그림을 그리기 시작했다고도 밝혔다.

 
김 지사의 민선8기 핵심 과제인 베이밸리 메가시티는 천안‧아산‧당진‧서산 등 충남 북부권과 평택‧안성‧화성‧오산 등 경기 남부권을 아우르는 아산만 일대를 반도체와 디스플레이, 수소경제 등 대한민국 4차산업을 선도하는 글로벌 경제 거점으로 육성한다는 대규모 계획이다.

충남도는 지난달 경기도와 베이밸리 메가시티 건설을 위한 상생 협력 업무협약을 맺고, 4일 민관 합동 추진단을 구성하며 추진 기반을 구축했고, 국제 해양레저 관광벨트 조성과 관련해서는 1조 1254억 원을 투입해 오섬 아일랜즈를 조성한다는 내용을 골자로 한 업무협약을 지난 9월 해양수산부, 민간 기업과 맺었다.
