충남도, 10월 5일 '육사 충남유치범도민추진위' 출범

육군사관학교 유치 활동에 나선 충남도가 오는 10월 5일 ‘육군사관학교 충남유치범도민추진위원회(이하 추진위)’를 출범 시키고 본격 활동에 돌입한다. 

 

14일 충남도에 따르면 지난 6일 첫 실행위원회 회의를 열고, 본격적인 활동을 시작한 추진위는 이날 도청 중회의실에서 열린 2차 회의에서 출범식 세부계획 확정 및 추진위 구성을 마쳤다.

 

출범식은 10월 5일 오후 2시 도청 문예회관에서 개최하며, 김태흠 지사를 비롯해 도민과 지역 국회의원, 대학총장, 시장·군수, 민간단체 등 700여 명이 참석할 예정이다.

 

추진위는 검소하면서 육사 유치 의지를 다지는 출범행사를 기획했으며, 행사는 식전공연(큰북 공연)을 시작으로 육사 유치를 염원하는 도민의 목소리를 담은 퍼포먼스와 경과보고, 결의문 낭독 등 순으로 이어진다.

 

경과보고에서는 육사 유치 배경과 그동안 중앙부처 및 국회대응, 토론회, 유치 활동 등 실적을 알림과 동시에 유치를 향한 강렬한 의지를 표현할 예정이다.

 

추진위는 시민사회단체, 정치권, 학계, 도민 등 500여 명 규모로 구성키로 했다.

 

위원들은 대통령실과 국방부, 국회 등에 육사 이전을 촉구하고, 공동성명서 건의 등 육사 유치에 대한 공감대 형성 및 여론 결집에 나선다.
