산림청(청장 남성현)은 6일 오전에 남해안에 상륙할 것으로 예상되는 제11호 태풍 ‘힌남노’가 북상함에 따라 많은 호우와 강풍이 예상되어 금일(4일) 16시부로 전국의 산사태 위기경보를 ‘관심’에서 ‘경계’로 상향한다고 밝혔다.

 

국립산림과학원의 지역별 강우예측 분석에 따르면 태풍 내습에 따라 6일 18시 전까지 전국적으로 100∼300mm를 상회하는 누적강우와 강풍이 예상되며 산사태 발생 위험성이 높아질 것으로 판단된다.

 

산림청은 이번 태풍에 대비하여 8.31∼9.2 동안 산사태취약지역 1,165개소, 대형산불피해지 30개소, 공사 중인 산지태양광 허가지 116개소에 대해 추가 특별점검을 실시하였고, 위기경보 상향 발령에 따라 비상근무 및 신속한 대응체계를 구축한다고 밝혔다.

 

산림청 김용관 산림보호국장은 “역대 최고로 강력한 태풍으로 예상되는 태풍 ‘힌남노’ 북상에 따라 산사태 위기경보를 ‘경계’로 상향 발령한 바, 위험지역에 계신 국민 여러분께서는 긴급재난문자, 마을방송 등에 귀 기울여 주시고, 유사 시에 안내에 따라 사전에 신속하고 안전하게 대피해주시기 바란다.”라고 전했다.
