세종시의회가 하반기 두 차례 정례회를 앞두고 의정활동 역량 강화를 위한 교육의 일환으로 지난 22일부터 26일까지 4박 5일 동안 국회도서관 대강당에서 국회사무처 주관으로 열리는 ‘2022년 지방의회 의원 연수’에 참여한다.

이번 지방의회 의원 연수프로그램은 전국 51개 광역 및 기초의회 의원 170여명을 대상으로 행정사무감사 및 예산안 심사에 대비한 예산안 심사기법, 효과적인 행정사무감사 기법, 조례안 입안 및 심사기법 등 필수 과목을 이수하는 방식으로 진행된다. 

세종시의회는 전국 단위의 의정 교육 프로그램 참여로 전문 지식 습득뿐 아니라 지방의회 의원들 간 교류와 협력의 계기를 마련할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. 

세종시의회 상병헌 의장은 “의정활동에 꼭 필요한 이론과 실무 위주의 지방의회 의원연수를 통해 의원 개개인의 역량이 크게 향상될 것으로 기대된다”며  “시민을 위해 열심히 일하고, 공부하는 의회상을 구현하기 위해 앞으로도 다각적인 교육 지원에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
