대전시, 청년마을 2곳 선정... 지역 상생플랫폼 구축

청년들이 지역에 머물고 새로운 시도 할 수 있는 플랫폼 구축을 통해 지역사회 구성원과 화합을 도모하고 지역사회 정착을 유도하는 대전 청년마을 2곳이 시범 조성된다.

 

대전시는 17일 “대전 청년마을 조성사업”을 공모한 결과, 최종 사업지로 동구 원동, 유성구 어은동 2곳을 선정했다고 밝혔다.

 

대전 청년마을 조성사업은 지역청년들과 함께 지역의 유휴공간을 지역주민과의 협업, 커뮤니티(문화공간), 창업 등의 공간으로 조성하고, 창업교육 ・ 활동, 지역탐방, 문화활동 등 청년체험 프로그램 운영을 지원하는 사업이다.

 

시는 선정된 자치구에는 2억 5천만 원이 지원하며, 사업성과에 따라 2년간 매년 1억 원이 추가로 지원한다. 자치구에서도 매년 2천 5백만 원을 추가로 지원하게 된다.

 

이번 공모에는 3개 자치구에서 6개 사업계획서를 제출하였으며, 서면심사, 현장실사와 발표심사를 걸쳐 2곳이 최종 선정됐다.


이번에 선정된 동구 원동은 대전 철공 문화의 발상지인 100년 골목 창조길에 청년들이 원동의 철문화를 활용하여 청년이 중심이 되어 창조길 일원에 활력을 불어넣고 지역주민과 함께 지역의 문제해결 해 나가는 대장간 철문화 공동체 마을을 만들 계획이다.

 

유성구 어은동은 본인에게 딱 맞는 캐릭터를 찾아가는 자아탐색과 역량강화를 통한 메이커 및 크리에이터 등 비즈니스 자립 발판을 마련하여 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 슬기로운 부캐 마을을 조성해 나갈 구상이다.

 

대전시는 시범사업으로 선정된 2개 마을의 조성 과정을 지속적으로 점검하고, 컨설팅 제공 등을 통해 사업이 안정적으로 추진 될 수 있도록 지원할 방침이다.
