[65.7 billion won emergency support to 167,000 people including small business owners in Chungcheongnam-do] [-“Corona 19 damage recovery and regional economic vitality”… Up to 1 million won by the beginning of next month -]
Chungcheongnam-do decided to provide 65.7 billion won in emergency support to 167,000 people, including small business owners, who are suffering from the prolonged Corona 19.
Yang Seung-jo, governor of Chungcheongnam-do, held a press conference at the press center of the provincial government on the 14th and announced, "We will provide a 'Chungnam-type emergency disaster support' funded by the provincial government to recover from the damage caused by COVID-19 and revitalize the local economy."
A total of 167,000 people are supported, including 129,000 small business owners and 38,000 people involved in transport industry, cultural artists, street vendors, surrogate drivers, and religious facilities.
The total amount of support is 65.765 billion won, using the provincial disaster management fund, disaster relief fund, and reserve funds.
Looking at the subsidy, 1 million won is provided for 7 types of gathering bans, such as entertainment facilities and collab, among small businesses.
500,000 won each for 28 types of business restrictions such as restaurants, cafes, bakeries, lodging facilities, hairdressing and beauty businesses, and private academies, and 300,000 won each for 273 types of business crises selected by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
In addition, 300,000 won will be provided to those engaged in the transportation industry, such as individual taxis, corporate taxis, chartered buses, and special passengers. Disaster subsidies of 300,000 won each will be provided to cultural artists and street vendors. Visiting instructors, substitute drivers, door-to-door salespeople, visiting inspectors, and software technicians will be provided with 300,000 won each. About 5,000 religious facilities in the province will receive 500,000 won each.
However, businesses that violate administrative orders, speculative businesses, street vendors operating illegally in public places, and false or fraudulent applicants are excluded from the scope of support.
The provincial government has minimized the blind spots in the past in this emergency support and simplified the supporting documents such as submitted documents so that they can receive a wide range of support.
In addition, 7 cities and counties including Gongju, Nonsan, Buyeo, Seocheon, Cheongyang, Hongseong, and Yesan are reported to match Dobi with 5:5 to provide additional support. Other cities and counties are also preparing support plans tailored to their own circumstances, so the actual amount of support is expected to increase significantly from the 65.7 billion won supported by this province.
Applications can be made by visiting the reception counter provided by the city or county, such as the city/gun office or eup, myeon-dong office, from the 21st of this month to the 8th of April, or by fax or e-mail if it is difficult to visit, such as those with COVID-19.
Payment will be made sequentially from the 21st of this month, once the application is confirmed, by bank transfer.
Governor Yang said, “‘Complete daily recovery’ will come not when the virus is eliminated, but when all threats to survival posed to the vulnerable, such as small business owners, are removed. We will expedite the full recovery of daily life through reasonable support.”
